Welcome to Wild Billy Lake

Wild Billy Work Party 05 017

Wild Billy Lake is located on 1100 acres of private land in South-Central Oregon.  The property is at an elevation of 4500’ and is situated on a mesa that sits above the Sycan and Sprague river valleys, generating a feeling that you are completely alone with nature as there are no visible signs of habitation from this private getaway.  The lake itself is over 200 acres in size and is managed as a destination retreat for fly fishermen in search of trophy rainbow trout.  Wild Billy Lake is so much more than just a world class fishery, it is a place to experience the High Desert ecosystem in a private, intimate setting.

Your experience is only limited by your imagination. Consider that you can rent the entire property and have complete access to this private, peaceful environment. Paddle sports of all types are ideal activities, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, or rowing one of our provided fishing boats on the lake. The only restriction on your experience on the water is a prohibition on gas motors. Jump on your mountain bike and go for a ride. Take a hike around the lake and observe nature in action. Antelope and mule deer watering at the lake’s edge, Osprey, Bald Eagles, and numerous other birds in action. Wildlife in their natural habitat can be experienced and appreciated by all members of your group. After your outing, grab a cup of coffee and your favorite book and settle into fireside tranquility next to your cabin’s wood stove or the lakeside fire pit; or, take one of our boats out on the lake for a fly fishing experience that may find you battling the largest rainbow trout you’ve ever hooked.

Something for everyone: Wild Billy Lake is the ideal place for corporate small group retreats, a getaway with friends, fly fishing clubs, family get together, weddings, or a romantic trip with your spouse. Whatever your group consists of, we think that Wild Billy Lake will be enjoyed by all. It is a place to unwind and rejuvenate, leaving the stress and anxiety of our modern, digital world behind.
