Fishing Report

We’re excited to be able to reintroduce you to catch and release fly fishing at Wild Billy Lake.  It’s been a long road with many obstacles but we believe we have turned the corner and are excited for you to experience the great fishing that we are known for.  Thanks to a couple of years in a row with big winters and associated good runoff, we‘ve been aggressively stocking the lake in anticipation of a full recovery.  Our stocking plan has focused on large numbers of 1/3 pound fish (9-10”) with lesser quantities of 1-2 pound fish as well as over 30,000 kamloops rainbow fry raised from eyed eggs in our very own DIY hatchery.  The stocking of 1/3 pounders began all the way back in 2022 and we’ve introduced over 25,000 of them since then.  With surviving holdover fish and the bigger fish that we’ve stocked, there are some very big fish in the lake along with a majority of fish above 18” in size.  2025 was fun for us and we are excited to finally share it with you in 2026.
